And.../Y...

... with the beginning of the New Year so many people are full of resolutions and plans and aims and hopes. Everyone is looking forward to improving such relationship or to acquiring such status quo, or whatever.

For me, in spite of how much I enjoy the celebrations, a new year means the continuity of life. I usually do look back and see where I have been wrong, what I could improve. But I never promise mysef to do such and such changes... if they are necessary, they will come on their own. Otherwise, they were not needed.

The only thing I truly care about is happiness... and I have discovered some time back that it cannot be found in others but in oneself. I am happy with myself and what I am. I am happy with my daughters and how well they are, how cheerful and jovial they are at all times. I am happy with my life. And I am happy that some people who were harmful just decided to walk out of my life, on their own (though not before making me feel I was guilty of something! and you know what? I couldn't care less, because those who are too selfish or conceited to believe that the world has them as the centre, are poor souls with nothing to offer, and thus cannot take what they do not understand nor comprehend. And I pity them, in spite of having loved them so much) ... so what could be best?

Sino, no eran necesarios.

Besos!

I agree that there are so many people making new beginnings, stopping that, starting this...
I'm the same as you I just continue down my little road that I'm on and continue to learn from my mistakes along the way! It's always been my perfect way of living! hehe

Me gusta mucho tu blog. Un beso.

UAU!!!

Dearest Donnie!! I still have to learn from my mistakes, which seems the hardest to do! A great year to you too!! Besototessss!!

Muchas gracias Ana!

Besos!!!!

Hi Jean. It's been too long since I visited. Regarding this post, I couldn't agree more. One of the worst traps a person can fall into is to believe that his life will really begin when some certain goal is achieved or some thing is acquired. When we fail to live in the moment and honor the present, we likely to miss something important or beautiful. When I went back to school at age 32, I looked forward to earning my degree, but I never let myself forget that my life was unfolding every moment.

Dearest Annie! This realization did not come with the New year... I have always known about it... hehehe
and you don't worry; I know that it is best to forget those who didn't care for me or did so only in a selfish manner... though love is difficult to forget, or to stop feeling from one day to the other. But I appreciate your everyday concern and wonderful friendship!!!!! Love you lots, dear!
